NEC-iTBI will objectively support technology-based entrepreneurs and start-ups focused on waste to wealth creation and IoT sectors. INCUBATION MANAGER
Job Summary:

Incubation Manager in our Technology Business Incubator (i-TBI) plays a critical role in supporting the CEO and ensuring the effective day-to-day operations of the incubator. The Incubation Manager essentially acts as a bridge between the leadership of the TBI and the startups, ensuring that the incubation process runs smoothly and that startups receive the necessary support to thrive. Here are key aspects of the Incubation Manager's role.

  • Identifying and evaluating potential startups for admission into the incubator.
  • Managing the application and selection process, ensuring that selected startups align with the TBI's goals and criteria.
  • Work closely with Associate Manager in Implementing and overseeing incubation programs, workshops, and events to enhance the skills and capabilities of startups.

Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with start-ups, entrepreneurs, mentors, universities, research institutions, industry experts and other relevant stakeholders.

INCUBATOR ASSOCIATE & BDM PROFESSIONAL

The CEO with a Techno-Managerial background is a must to navigate uncertainties or complexities and work effectively. The CEO contributes to the growth and sustainability of both the incubator and the startups it supports

  • The CEO establishes the overall vision and mission for the TBI, aligning it with the goals of supporting and fostering technology startups
  • Providing strong leadership to the team and creating a positive and innovative culture within the incubator.
  • Formulating and implementing strategic plans to achieve the TBI's objectives, including attracting high-potential startups, fostering innovation, and promoting entrepreneurship

IT, SOFTWARE AND INCUBATOR ADMIN
Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all IT, software, data, and administrative processes within the Business Incubator. The incumbent will be tasked with planning, executing, and evaluating all activities related to Incubator management and administration. This includes creating, reviewing, updating, and maintaining records of TBI policies and procedures on a quarterly and annual basis.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new startups, providing them with necessary resources and guidance.
  • Support and guide all incubatees with basic static website, domain, cloud, or dedicated server needs.
  • Ensure the effective, timely, and accurate functioning of the software system, including data integrity, compliance, and report generation.
  • Oversee all administrative and procurement duties related to TBI projects.
  • Collaborate with management, administration, and operations to maintain and monitor TBI assets at Incubator building bases or FAb labs.

Working experience of minimum 5 years year and above in the field of Incubator admin, Software with age not exceeding 45 years. Preferably the candidate should have prior experience in working for the incubators. The candidate should have good communication skills, with knowledge of MS office, Excel, Programming Language, Database, Web Development/Design, Cloud and any relevant software tools.

FINANCE & ACCOUNTS SUPPORT STAFF

Financial support Staff play a key role concentrating on budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and bookkeeping to ensure the incubator's financial health. Previous work experience in the Incubator is great plus

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Support in the budgeting process, tracking expenditures, book keeping and ensuring financial compliance.
  • Develop and manage the incubator's budget, taking into account operational expenses, programs, and potential revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set financial goals and objectives.
  • Oversee contracts and agreements with startups, mentors, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Startups to ensure ignition grant amount is spent by each entrepreneur as per iTBI guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions with all Incubatee startups.
  • With experience in accounting and will financial statements such as the Income Statement (Profit and Loss Statement or P&L) and Balance Sheet
  • Monitor and control expenses to align with the budgetary constraints of the Incubator.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Work with auditors, company secretaries and legal advisors to meet regulatory obligations.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to startups, assisting them in financial planning and management.
  • Offer advice on budgeting, financial projections, and fundraising strategies from an accounting perspective.
  • Maintenance of daily banking operation of the Incubator. Undertake all banking duties as needed by the project

  • Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for startups and for the Incubator.

FAB Lab IN CHARGE

The Fab Lab In charge plays a central role in creating a dynamic and collaborative environment within the fabrication facility.

  • Ensure that all fabrication equipment and tools are well-maintained and in working order.
  • Manage and replenish materials and supplies required for fabrication processes.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for individuals interested in using the Fab Lab facilities.
